Content-led exhibition graphics designed for a historically grounded Netflix premiere event in Katowice.

Ołowiane Dzieci / Lead Children

Katowice, Poland 2026

Commissioned by Warsaw/Creatives for Netflix.

CONTEXT

To mark the world premiere of Netflix’s Ołowiane Dzieci at Kinoteatr Rialto in Katowice, the event included a content-driven exhibition expanding on the real historical background behind the series. Inspired by the story of lead poisoning among children living near the Szopienice smelter, the exhibition was designed not as a promotional backdrop alone, but as a spatial narrative rooted in local history and archival material.

ROLE

Exhibition graphic design, content layout and spatial communication.

SCOPE

• Graphic design of the press wall with 3D lettering

• Visual development of the exhibition panels and content layouts

• Editorial structuring of the exhibition narrative within a fixed scenographic layout

• Typographic hierarchy and readability system for archival and written materials

• Guest folders with a curated set of cards summarising the exhibition’s key themes

PRODUCTION INSIGHT

The exhibition was developed within a predefined scenographic structure, which meant the design process depended on careful editorial decisions rather than simply placing text onto ready-made surfaces. Working in real time with the exhibition curator, we shaped the narrative panel by panel — selecting and refining texts, photographs and archival materials to match both the available space and the intended rhythm of the visitor journey.

A key challenge was balancing typographic hierarchy, text scale and the proportion of archival content across the exhibition format. The visual language had to remain restrained, readable and technically precise, while allowing the historical material to retain its full weight. The result was a spatial system designed to guide the audience intuitively through the story without turning the exhibition into a purely promotional layer around the series.

Designed to support the story — not overpower it.

RESULT

The final exhibition created a coherent and emotionally focused visual framework for presenting the historical context surrounding Ołowiane Dzieci. Alongside the premiere event, it offered visitors a clear and immersive way to engage with the archival material, while the accompanying card set distilled the exhibition into a tactile takeaway reflecting its most important themes.
